Anna will work with you in a way that feels right for you, at the pace and level of intensity that fits your schedule and lifestyle.
How things work
Sessions are supportive, encouraging, and built around you. The aim is to help you move through fear, build lasting confidence, and connect with your own ability and resilience in the open water. Whether you are a seasoned swimmer looking to build endurance and fitness, or you are looking to take your first open water dip, Anna will be there to support and motivate. Expect to be challenged and to surprise yourself.
One-to-one sessions start at 90 minutes
The power of the water
Woven into every session is a deep understanding of nervous system regulation and what immersion in open water can do for us. Because the sea isn't just a place to swim — it's where the nervous system finds its balance, and where a genuine sense of calm and wellbeing begins. When our nervous system is regulated, we can perform at our best and manage the demands of training and life.
Where could this take you?
From making the leap from pool to sea for the first time, to taking on a challenge like an Iron Man or the English Channel — the goal is always the same: to help you exceed your own expectations, in the water and beyond. Anna loves to help people excel and would love to work with you.
Meet your coach
Anna Wardley
British endurance swimmer and open water coach
Anna took up swimming in her early thirties, teaching herself to swim front crawl at her local pool, motivated by her ambition to swim the English Channel, inspired by a newspaper article about a woman who swam to France.
Anna’s swim credits include:
The English Channel
Double Windermere
World Ice Swimming Championships
Strait of Gibraltar from Spain to Morocco
The Hellespont Channel from Europe to Asia
Catalina Channel, California
Round Jersey, Round Portsea and 103km around the Isle of Wight
Through her swimming endeavours, Anna has raised over £100k for causes close to her heart and in 2013, she was named Inspirational Woman of the Year in recognition of her 'incredible swimming achievements and outstanding efforts raising money for charity’.
One of Anna’s greatest passions is coaching others to realise their own potential in the water. She is proud to have helped hundreds of swimmers of all levels and from all over the world to achieve their swimming goals.
More than anything, she wants to share the benefits of being in the sea for our nervous system and overall wellbeing.
More than anything, she wants to pass on what she has discovered firsthand: that the sea is more than a place to swim and achieve goals; it can be the source of personal transformation, healing and nervous system regulation.
Anna would love to hear from you and how she can support you.
